Moonsorrow

Probably not too many fans of this genre on the board.

I highly recommend their new album.

Epic metal at its finest!

i dont recommend their new album.....on their last two albums it sounds like theyre going in a more mainstream direction and, with/because of that, going soft to boot. thats really unfortunate because i feel verisäkeet and v: hävitetty (the albums directly preceding the seemingly inevitable downfall) were among the best albums they ever put out. dont get me wrong, the new album doesnt suck, its just not the fullness of what youd expect from moonsorrow in an offputting way. i definitely still recommend seeing them live though, unless youre one of those people that cant stand long songs no matter how damn epic they are. maybe the states will get a paganfest tour this year and moonsorrow will hop on the bill.

It's my first contact with Moonsorrow.

I guess i'll have to visit their earlier catalogue.

And i agree that the songs are very long.

if this is your initiation then i dont see you being anything but pleased with their back discography. even their tape demos are enjoyable.
