I don't know if any of you are familiar with this song yet:
This song actually has over 80,000,000 views, but when you look at the likes and dislikes, there are about nine or ten dislikes for every like.
The song itself is beyond terrible. There are some pretty funny comments I've seen about it. My friend David said on Facebook: "I had an easier time sitting through uncensored war footage than I did sitting through this video. I thought I was at a point at which I could tolerate most pop music, but I was wrong. It looks like record companies have decided that it's cheaper to just auto-tune everything than it is to have "singers" doing multiple takes and wasting valuable studio time."
My friend Marc said that it's like watching The Human Centipede, and that once you watch it, it's forever embedded in your brain. Then David said, "I can sit through anything that's fictional pretty easily. But Rebecca Black is REAL!"
Eight times as many dislikes as likes..... ouch! Horribly painful stuff, and a clear indication (if it was even needed) of image over small things like talent. While pop has always been carefully packaged, this hits new lows.

How could anyone NOT be aware of that godawful video/song? It's like an endurance test; I've twice tried to get through the whole thing but when that rapping part starts I always bail.

That video is only famous because it's horrible.
It worked for Winger.

Yeah, the song is pretty terrible. I caught her when she was on the Jay Leno Show. I thought it was pretty cool that she is donating all the proceeds from this song to her school and to Japan. One disaster helping out another.

She seems like a sweet kid. From what I read, the song/video was a gift from her parents...something she's always wanted to do. It would be perfect for the Disney Channel or Nick Jr or something for kids...

She's just a typical 13 year old kid. Sh!t, half of the metal some people listen to is more childish than this. At least she has a sense of humor about it.

I agree.
Wonder how she got all the kids to be in the vid with her? Not one of them knew what her voice was like, or the song its self?
