Christ ILLusion Re-Issue!

The re-issue will include a alternate version of Black Serenade, a unreleased track Final Six and footage from the Slayer 07 tour. Plus the vid for Eyes Of The Insane and South Of Heaven from the fourthcoming Unholy Alliance dvd.

Why is is ALREADY being reissued? Didn't this just come out?

Because Slayer are on Roadrunner. Reissues are what Roadrunner do. No doubt a reissue of United Abominations will be out soon with a few extras.

Because this is what labels do now to squeeze money out of the CD-buying populace. They simply don't get that this increases illegal downloading. For instance, I hate downloads, I need a hardcopy, but I don't buy Roadrunner releases anymore on their initial release. They're only going to be reissued! So I download at first. It sucks, but I hate this reissue nonsense.

Oh, actually seems Slayer aren't on Roadrunner. But the same basic message is there.

i think Slayer are on Colombia Records. i think it sucks that they changed the artwork for the re-issue. the new cover is stupid looking.

Well, many labels are doing this now. Roadrunner started it. Then Century Media jumped aboard, and now others are doing it as well.

In the case of old albums being reissued with extra stuff, I'm all for it. But when it's a recent album, what's the point? It's incredibly cheap to give us the 'unfinished' product first time round.

i thought it was. it was done by Larry Carroll, who also did Reign In Blood, South Of Heaven & Seasons In The Abyss. i love his artwork.

Have you actually seen the cover, not just a picture? I was in FYE tonight and picked it up. It's one of those 3d-looking covers. I don't know what it's called, but tilt it one direction, it looks like a closed fist, tilt it the other way and the hand opens to reveal a nail through the palm. Kinda neat. Not worth the $20 bucks FYE was charging, but a neat gimmick nonetheless.

yeah i saw it at the store. still not as good as the original cover.

i got christ illusion on the day it came out so no dAMN way am i going to buy it again. i think i might listen to it actually its an awesome album
