16 Horsepower was a 'modern" old time gospel rock band with tinges of gothic and bluegrass ...They have been a favorite of mine since their e.p. came out in 1995...I have every disc and have seen the live 3 or times...incredible.

Yeah, they were a pretty cool band. Not at all heavy, but with kind of a spooky feel to them. Another bluegrass type band that I kinda liked from that era was the "Bad Livers'.

I've gotten into this band recently as well as the singer's new band Woven Hand...I love that "Southern Gothic" vibe. You can really feel what this guy is putting across. Very passionate, intense, and like SAHB said, kinda spooky...I love it!!
