I saw this local prog-death band play for the first time a couple of days ago. I bought their demo at the show as well. Let me know your thoughts on this band.

Its quite good to my ears.
Any chance you could help me out with getting that demo? Looks like they are available but only in store?
Thanks.

decent stuff for a demo, though the vocals are pretty weak in my opinion. i like their incorporation of thrash into the sound. at times things got a bit too melodic/sappy, but i think theres potential here. lets see if they step things up with a formal release.

The music is great, too bad the vocals are a total spoiler for me...

They will play a show about a 20 minute drive from where I live in April. Part of the show conflicts with my work schedule; hopefully the part of the show that they play is the part of the show I would be able to attend.

Three of the band members are featured in this cover of Sepultura's Desperate Cry:

Its not bad. The vocals don't fit this band, but I have heard WAY worse. It just needs refining. Its a good start!

I saw them live on the weekend, and had a really good time. Also, former Unbidden vocalist Matt Canova has a new band called Mortality Work. They played their debut show. I can't wait to see them again.
Here is a new Stygian Sky song, Dreaming the State of Reality:

They never officially disbanded, but haven't played a live show in years. Either 2012 or 2013 was their most recent show. Around Christmastime last year, they recorded a studio version of Dreaming the State of Reality, and this spring, will be playing their first live show in years; they will be opening for Anvil in a show that will be about a 40-45 minute drive from my place. I can't wait to attend the show.

They put on an epic show when I went to see them open for Anvil last week.
