| Unlike those who leave their CD's laying around. I have come upon used CD's for trade and for sale. Usually, I'll find CD's at Used stores, furniture, Msic stuff (Not always a CD store). Once in a while, I'll find a rare Gem hidden among the few hundred for sale. At these places, you'll find scratch marks and every kind of wear and tear you can imagine. The selling prices range from 50 cents to a dollar. I was curious, at what point is a CD beyond Repair? (Obviously, deep gashes and knicks on the underside leaves it unplayable. and once the label side is damaged, its virtually destroyed) | |

| My buffer can take out almost anything, less gouges, and make them look almost new. $35C in a Winnipeg pawn shop for the bench grinder and ten bucks a pc for decent buffing wheels. It's a helluva investment! |

Sounds like you answered your own question. What more do you need to know? _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Basically, as long as the label isn't damaged and there are no extremely deep gouges or cracks, they should be salvagable. Guy at out pawn shop will resurface them for me anytime I buy stuff from them, so I always get them touched up when I snag something.

| The times I've seen CDs "resurfaced", it always looks like someone ran a brillo pad over them...but they always play. _________________ FINAL SIGN

| I picked up a used copy of Rage's reign of fear from a store in prague a few months back.
Scratched out of beyond, but still plays perfectly.
