Yes, I know we've had this discussion before. So what!
What is your favorite SLAYER album?

Mine would be "Show No Mercy", followed closely by "Hell Awaits". :metal:

I know I go against the grain as most metalheads seem to think that
"Reign in Blood" is their best, but to me that album is a bit
overrated. It's got some great riffs but overall is a bit short and
doesn't have the hook that "Show No Mercy" or "Hell Awaits" had.

I dig "Show No Mercy" but my fave has always been "South of Heaven"

Mine would be Seasons In The Abyss

First one I heard, so that's why.

South Of Heaven or Seasons In The Abyss.

Show No Mercy no doubt. Although Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood are good.

That's my top three, in that order.

Toss up between Reign in Blood and Seasons in the Abyss for me. I like both albums pretty much equally, they both get about the same amount of playing time

Reign in Blood is possibly the greatest thrash album ever made in my opinion. certainly deserves a nod on anyones top 10 of thrash list, simply due to its impact. one of the most defining of the genre.

as with Motorhead, i love every Slayer album & have never been disappointed. one or two songs, sure, but never a bad album.

I think they are a joke. Can't stand 'em.

I don't like Show no mercy, The drums sound like crap and the lyrics are put together kinda lame. I like SOH and SITA the best.

My fave by these guys is Hell Awaits!

Reign in Blood was the 1st album I got, so it tends to get the most spins. Seasons in the Abyss would be a close second.

Show No Mercy was the first I got into,picked it up right after I acquired Kill 'Em All
Never thought anything could be faster and heavier than that but SNM was it,even though it came out a few months before KEA
