Minnesotans throw on a flannel shirt.

cookies door to door.

Minnesota let their dogs sleep indoors.

| On the flip side of that...
80F: Minnesotans strip down to underwear in an attempt to cool off, Texans still wearing long sleeves
90F: People in Bemidji are guzzling water to stay hydrated. Arizonans finally pack up their winter wardrobe
100F: Washington D.C.'s A/C bill skyrockets. Flordian's open their windows to let in the cool breeze.
120F: New Yorkers suffer skin cancer. Texans finally start buying sun block.
140F: North Pole once again abandoned. Louisianans say "its not so much the heat as its the humidity"

| Love it. I live on the edge of the mountains and the high desert so we get both. Been -5 this year already and was over 100 in the summer. And our schools have been opened late once since we've been here and that was when it snowed 16 inches in one night. |

| Great thread to be reading as yet another foot of white is decending. But, Wargod is right - that might be joking but it really is not that far off.
And, FF, Bemidji is East of Grand Forks about an hour. Maybe 60-80 miles south of the border. They have had alot of success with thier hockey program the last few years and finally jumped into the WCHA last year [not that you would care, but still pretty cool to have another in-state rival to beat up on]. |

| I live in Northeast Missouri where it has been around 20 degrees F for the last few nights and my wife has already begun the constant chant of " I'm cold " which I will hear 10 to 15 times a day until spring arrives and temps rise into the 70's. Then I will hear " I'm hot " all summer until the leaves start to fall next year and the cycle will repeat. | |

| I hate cold almost as much as when it's too hot. Yeah, living in Texas doesn't compare to you yankees and especially you Northern Europeans but fo me it's cold in the winter. The worst part of cold weather is taking nice warm showers. They feel so good, I just don't want to go out and get cold (my dad doesn't allow the heater to go above 70 degrees). I would love to have weather that varies between 70 and 90 (that high is only so I could go swimming). If I wasn't a proud American, I'd move to Spain (I was there in October 2002 and it felt like a May in Texas).
I spent 3 months in Navey boot camp in Great Lake Illinois in January, February, and March and was glad as hell to leave (I got to spend almost the rest of that year in Pensecola, Flordia). I never want to see that much snow and suffer that much cold ever again. I just want to be warm and happy.

| The real question is, who member is smallest in the cold, Alaskans or Minnesotans? |

I heard they all wipe from the front anyway! I can't complain about the whether here, rarely too cold, never really that hot. Ground shakes from time to time.
