Dirty Looks - I.C.U.

Anyone pick up the latest CD from sleaze rockers Dirty Looks? Finally snagged a copy and am enjoying it.

I've thought about getting it, but haven't yet. I'm a Dirty Looks fan but for some reason I haven't bothered with the last 4 albums (can't believe they've put out so many in such a short amount of time). The cheapest price I can find for it online is $15.99 so, tell me, is it "good" or "really good"?

I personally think that California Free Ride is awesome! The new one is too new. I've only heard it once, but it sounded great to me. They do three cover songs, "Happy Together" (The Turtles), Spirit In The Sky (Norman Greenbaum) and "Down Payment Blues" (AC/DC). They totally make those songs sound like they could have written them themselves.

Cool. Maybe I'll pick'em both up then.

Got it...dig it....! But, like Ult, I am a big Dirty Looks fan from back in the day.

Really diggin' ICU too. I like the "Spirit in the Sky" cover. It's just saw raw and nasty sounding.

I just won a copy of California Free Ride off of ebay. I need to upgrade my cassette copies of Cool From The Wire and Turn Of The Screw to cd.

I checked out samples from I.C.U. and they sounded really good. So, it will be added to my growing wants list.

I just got Superdeluxe and California Free Ride the other ($5 a piece) and I'm really digging both of them. Some of riffs have that modern thickness, but overall each album sounds like classic 80s rocks. Now I really want their other recent albums.

I.C.U. is a bit dirtier, nastier, heavier than those two IMO. Just raw, dirty rock and roll!

However, I love Superdeluxe and CFR as well. Where did you pick 'em up for $5?

Reminds me of the days where everybody around here was familiar with metal.

I've really been digging my copy of California Free Ride. Great stuff,I'm going to have to pick up some more of their newer releases.
