So what do you people have to say about this band? If any of you enjoy their music, what's the best to check out?

All I have heard is "Making Plans For Nigel" and the Dukes Of Stratosphear album: Psonic Psunspot, which is far from their original sound (apparently).

I hope to check out some of their good stuff (Allmusic says all their music is good) from your recommendations. Please help.

I would start with the comp album 'Ugly Daisy Assortment' which gives you an excellent overview of the band's career up to that point.

I have a Best Of Manny suggested and Black Sea. They're a little too quirky for me but good for a change of pace. My favorite tracks are Senses Working Overtime, Respectable Street and Generals and Majors.

I've only ever heard/seen the video "Senses Working Overtime" and liked that song, but never got into them (More of a Split Enz guy myself for quirky pop). I'll watch this thread for recommendations myself.

All I've got is the big Fossil Fuel box set. And it's awesome.

I highly recommend Rag & Bone Buffet. It's an odds & sods collection that is easily my favorite thing they've put out. And really the only XTC album I still regularly spin.
