Deus Invictus

Anyone heard of this band. Their album "Staged in Awaiting" was recently released on Bombworks Records. I'd describe them as technical death metal. The vocals are a mix of death vox and mid-rage clean vocals, sort of like early Extol.

Thoughts?

Scott, I think they're a good band with great musicians, but overall nothing to distinguish them from a number of the trendy style bands from the last few years. I can't imagine you liking the vocals all that much. Perhaps with a better vocalist, they might stick out a bit more, but then again, the vocals are part of this trend. A few years ago, I would be very excited about a band like this, but I guess I've mellowed out a bit.

I'll definitely pick this one up.
