I recently re-kindled my interest in rockabilly/psychobilly music and tied for the top of the the list with the Rev. Horton Heat are The Cramps. I had a comp tape years and years ago that has long since gone bye-bye. I don't remember what songs were on there. The only cd I own by them is
Flame Job, which I love. Spun it 4 or 5 times this morning. And Poison Ivy is smoking hot. RIP Lux.
While I don't have the funds to purchase up their entire discography, I'd like to beef up my collection a bit. Any discs that are "essential" or ones that I should avoid? I'm looking at mostly studio output, nothing live. Any Cramps recommendations are welcome.
And please, don't tell me "If you like The Cramps, you should check
these guys out". I can't afford it!!
