| just wandering what your opinions are on metallica participating in that live earth concert in london. do you think its a good thing or a bad thing? I dont really have an opinion on what they are doing. Lars Ulrich was the one pushed the band into the live earth thing. The only thing that bothers me is that some of the other bands that are performing next them are james blunt, duran duran and justin timberlake ughhhhhhh sad but true! | |

| I think it can't really be a bad thing. So what if they're performing next to pop/mainstream artists? At least they'll be flying the metal flag at Live Earth, eh? _________________ | |

| apparently they cut it short on the tv to see crowded house in australia and everyone complained. in order they played sad but true, nothing else matters and enter sandman it being the fisrt time they ever opened with sad but true. the first time they played the new wembley stadium and the second time they played wembley stadium the last time being the concert for life in tribiute of freddie mercury in 1992 | |

| I see that James Hetfield came out on stage with a bass (!) during Spinal Tap's set (along with many other members of the other participating bands) to jam on "Big Bottom" | |
