^ Is that the actual recording? How is the sound and performance? It's been hard for me to find the definitive Planets.

it's a 1971 performance, sound is very well defined, a little light in the low end but that was par for the course during that time. I also have a performance from the Chicago Symphony which is pretty amazing, on this disc....



The main difference (other than the recording year) is that the Chicago Symphony edition is taken at a slower tempo (each section is nearly a minute longer), this makes it more "intense" in my opinion.
