Yesterday I got CD number 100 this year in the mail. I was thikning about slowing down my CD purchases this year, but so far I've had no luck with that! Here is what I've bought, traded for, been given so far:

"I live by myself, have no family and have a well paid job. I can dedicate half of my disposable income to my collection."

I don't have an official count for this year, but I know I'm down from last year's purchases. I've really tried to stick to the want-list and slowed down on the 'blind buys'.

I think I've only purchased 4 or 5 "brand new releases" this year. The rest have been older, used stuff to fill in holes in discographies.

I told my wife i would cut back on cds this year. I normally end up comparing my cd acquisitions to those of Eyesore and then saying I am not that bad

You bought many records Kmorg, and some very good ones. I buy all the time too, i dont know how many this year, but i think around 100 too (between cds, lps and tapes) but new releases, from 2010 i only bought 10.

I wish I had done this years ago. It's actually easier to see what you spend and keeps me on a budget. I spent a lot of time last year selling off my sports card collection so I could afford to do this. Peace.
