| Trip To the England, Scotland, and Ireland Pics: PT 1 The room we had for a few hours.....until electrical problems ruined it. I was crushed, because I wanted this one bad. This was the view from the replacement room, however. Pretty awesome. It was the only one with a balcony. The room itself wasn't as cool, but the view made up for it. Dinner was down in the dungeon. Unnamable foods at unspeakable prices, but worth every penny. (Skip the basil sherbert if you are ever offered, however). The view from one side of the castle. This was at 10 till 10PM. I couldn't believe how late it stayed bright out. This was our room's balcony. I wanted to get every penny's worth so the next morning I was out there reading in the rain. This is a house that will be seen in the new Harry Potter film. The English village of Lacock will be shut down for a week or so to get some scenes. My American idea of the perfect English country/village house. | |

| PT II: No explanation needed. I didn't want to go all the way to Stonehenge and not get to be among the Stones, so we paid a little extra to take a "Sunset" tour of it (as well as a visit to Bath and the village Lacock). Most tourists must stay behind a roped off area, but the govt (or whoever runs Stonehenge) allows a certain amount of conctact with the Stones. Worth every penny. Stonehenge and staying at the castle were the absolute highlights of my trip, everything else was bonus. Our balcony from the side. You could go on these hiking trails, and I liked the view from just inside the forest. Edinburgh Castle on Castle Rock - magnificent. | |

| PT III: Roman Baths in....Bath. Approaching our hotel in Dublin... The "Spike" in Dublin The Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland. St. Patrick's Cathedral. #1 Tourist attraction in Ireland!! Loch Ness was too far to drive to, so on our Scotland road-trip we went to Loch Lomond. Pretty nice itself, if not so famous. Our hotel in Dublin was based around this castle, Clontarf Castle. The actual rooms were modern extensions and normal rooms. The castle served as the lobby and restaurants. They did falconry and...owlery??? at the castle we stayed at in Scotland. At $100+ US, we decided to just watch others! The castle we stayed at in Scotland was called Dalhousie Castle. Edward Longshanks stayed there before the battle of Falkirk in which he defeated William Wallace. The day after we got home I rented Braveheart, as Momma had never seen it, and it had new meaning for us. All these name-places came alive and hearing the Scottish accents (although surely they didn't speak like that in the 13th/14th Centuries. | |

| Thanks guys. I was a great trip...a trip of a lifetime. I learned that my surname - Douglas, is Scottish and Sir James Douglas carried Robert The Bruce's heart into the crusades. Apprently he's a pretty big deal over there. We took nearly 600 pics, so this is just a sampling. I left the London pics off, since those places are much more famous and known. This picture is for Spec and MC666...don't get too aroused, guys. | |

| Jokeriv, Ireland was the only country we didn't get out into the countryside. I regret that, but we simply ran out of time and money. We got lots of countryside in England and Scotland, and even saw Wales off in the distance, so I'm happy overall with how things turned out. | |
