thank you, it was the guitar playing that reeled her in. When you dedicate a song to someone special it goes a long way. Damn, the only instrument I can play is the trumpet.
Somehow, I don't think that has the same effect. Women probably don't react well to John Philip Souza. Never know trumpet takes just as much time and practice as anyother instrument.

| I used to be really good on it too. I played for 15 years and qualified to join the competition jazz band in high school (which only had 3 trumpets out of a school of almost 500 people). I still have the thing but haven't played a note in about 25 years. I'd probably sound like Radar on MASH if I picked it up now. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Oh yeah, I was majorly serious about playing the trumpet. I took lessons from my aunt for about 3 years to get started. Then I took lessons from a pro for another 5 (the guy only had his right arm so he'd stick his "stump" into the horn to steady it). I was in the orchestra from grade school thru HS, the marching band from JHS to HS and the jazz band all 4 years in HS. If the ska/punk boon of the 90s(Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, etc) had hit when I was graduating, I bet I'd have ended up in a band. Ah well...what could have been. Toho the trumpet player in a ska band.... But the guitar is timeless and always draws the chicks. Good luck to you my friend! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I had to find out what songs she really liked and luckily for me i knew them and dug them. Getting the nerve to sing them well I just had to go for it as i might not get another chance. Goldfinger rocks and some of the horn parts rock. Yes sometimes we miss our calling as the times dont align

Probably because you're playing music by Primus. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Wynona's got herself a big brown beaver and she shows it off to all her friends. One day, you know, that beaver tried to leave her, So she caged him up with cyclone fence. Along came Lou with the old baboon And said "Recognize that smell?" "Smells like seven layers, That beaver eats Taco Bell." Now Rex he was a Texan out of New Orleans And he travelled with the carnival shows. He ran bumper cars, sucked cheap cigars And he candied up his nose. He got wind of the big brown beaver So he though he'd take himself a peek, But the beaver was quick And grabbed him by the kiwis. Now he ain't pissed for a week. (And a half!) Now Wynona took her big brown beaver, And she stuck him up in the air. Said "I sure do love this big brown beaver And I wish I did have a pair." Now the beaver once slept for seven days And it gave us all an awful fright. So I tickled his chin and I gave him a pinch And the bastard tried to bite me. Wynona loved her big brown beaver And she stroked him all the time. She pricked her finger one day and it Occurred to her she might have a porcupine. | |

I'd have better luck playing the Monty Python theme on my trumpet. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

(Brianna's silliness) You should start a new "Caption this photo" thread with this pic. That's hilarious! _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
