ASPHYXIA

Anyone heard of this Belgium Thrash Metal band? They have a CD out called "Exit: Reality". ClassicThrash.com doesn't think much of them, but I don't really trust their reviews as they tend to trash stuff I think is great. Anyone know them? Recommend them?

I like 'em! They are nothing mind blowing, but a solid band. The production lacks a bit, so that takes away from the album some. I kinda get a Nuclear Assault vibe from them on the track One Big Family.

Is this CD rare? Hard to find?

Pretty rare and hard to find (mostly because of the label, a little label called Rumble Records, so I don't think many were pressed). It shows up on eBay every now and then. I've seen it go for as little as $8-$10, and up to $35 or so.

Same here, although I actually agree with the negative review, judging by the songs I've heard.

i love Asphyx... never heard Asphyxia. i like thrash too though.

Asphyxia was a good band thought they were commonly seen as some sort of Testament-clone (the The Legacy-era). I have seen some nice shows of them back in the days and their cd is pretty decent. Prices vary a lot when you try and find the cd.

Dutch Asphyx is cool as well although they are more old school death metallish.
