Any fans of these guys here? I've read about them and decided to check them out and even though I thought initially this was dumb doing a-capella to metal music. I find it pretty kick ass actually!

One of them vocalists sounds a lot like Hansi Küsch. I like this song, but think A whole album would be kinda boring. Besides, how is this metal?

I don't know how it's metal. I guess the same way you guys find Aerosmith and Alice Cooper to be heavy metal.

A buddy of mine turned me on to these guys about a month ago. Very talented group of individuals and points for doing something pretty original, but I don't know if I'd listen to a whole album of this stuff either. Once the novelty wears off, it might get boring.

I'd say it's as metal as what those guys in Apocoliptica (sp?) do with cellos, violins and Metallica songs. In fact, I'd say the same thing about them. Clever idea, but it gets old after awhile. But kudos for doing something different with the genre.

I just listened to about 6-7 songs of this on youtube. They are very talented, and it's pretty cool, but that's exactly what happened to me. I felt the acapella instraments (dumdumdumdumdum.........) go old. But, it is cool .

I've been drawn back to this band and have been listening to more of it. I might yet buy their latest. This has some cool moments.

I did end up getting Tribe of Force and I'm glad I did. It's very good. Their vocal melodies are fantastic and their original songs are great. Bonus - both kiddos love it so we can jam together.

I just checked these guys out I think they are very cool. It does have a short term novelity to it. The girl in the band is quite good looking , a nice bonus.

The thing with Apocalyptica is they evolved from a Metallica covers band. Some of their original material, whilst not strictly metal (although they do have some distorted strings), is really enjoyable;
Van Canto I just find annoying. Whilst yes, Apocalyptica did start off as a novelty, I'm more inclined to give credence to proper instruments rather than someone going "dun. dun dun dundundundun." They're good vocal talents, certainly, but I think they could be put to better use.
