I know nothing about this band. My friend just posted a link to this on Facebook and it's just...I don't know. Awesome? I expected to dislike it, had a joke ready and everything. Haha. Didn't expect to pretty blown away.
She posted the video, then a live version from when they performed on Letterman. Powerful stuff.
Even Dave was impressed. I've never seen him react that way before. Yeah, this is awesome.

That was ridiculously good. Man that was like Curtis Mayfield fronting a hard rock stung Meters, that's the horn section outta Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings that was used on the last Amy Winehouse record btw.
I've lamented how much Rock has moved away from it's R&B/Funk/Soul roots and i'm always on the look out for dirty earthy Rock that actually has groove and that you can dance to. And that right there is the sh*t my friends.
Here's some similar contemporary ass shakin' Rock N' Roll reconnected with it's R&B/Funk/Soul roots.........

That about sums it up for me too. Wasn't blown away, but found it interesting in a weird sorta way. Funky.

That King Khan reminds me a little of some of The Boyzz funkier efforts. I like this stuff. I feel another binge coming on.

I thought I would like this but that performance did nothing for me. Way too "retro" IMO.

Looks like I got something in common with Addy after all.
yeah, this does nothing for me. This is not my kind of music at all.
More for you guys who like this though!!!
When it comes to non-metal music, I prefer stuff that is 'dark'. Be it gothic or indie rock-oriented.
