I was given a copy of an album called Sunburn by a band named Fuel.
I don't think they're very popular.
Any fans?

They were pretty popular.....back in 1998 when that album came out.

I saw them open for Love/Hate (!!) at a little dump in Nyack, NY back in 1994 before they were signed... didn't think much of 'em then. Probably haven't heard'em since.

There's a few songs I really like a lot, which have some limitations musically but that's because the genre just doesn't take any chances unfortunately..... but at their core, as songs, they are great songs... 'Innocent' and 'Shimmer' come to mind first. There's also some irritating ones.. 'Bad Day'....

I am not a fan of Fuel, and they where popular for a short period of time, at least in the States. I have only heard the hits and they are not bad songs.
The only other thing I know about them is that when Ian Astbury quit so called The Doors of the 21st Century, then the singer of Fuel replaced him.

Own all their albums up until Brett left the band. Carl Bell is one underrated guitar player and they have some pretty rocking songs. Sunburn is a great album but I prefer the later 2 Something Like Human and Natural Selection all were much harder releases and showcased Carl Bells guitar skills..
A fav of mine....
Carl Bell shines here...

Didn't they want Daughtry to become their vocalist?

I didn't find their music to be that interesting. I don't think i'm gonna be tracking the rest of their catalogue.

Yes, they contacted Daughtry after he did a rendition of their biggest "hit", "Hemmorhage (In My Hands)" - great song.

I hated his rendition and don't know what they were thinking, but eh.
