In fact some bands like LA Guns and Motley Crue even - are considered to be sleaze / glam metal. That is one aspect that I'm aware of but Rattpoison is a fan of sleaze and he hates anything associated with the 80s. Perhaps there's more to it than either of us are aware of? I dont know. Its so hard to define genres anymore that I just listen and if I like something Ill get it and look for other bands that might be similar. _________________ | |

MB and RP have a very different definition of what sleaze is. In fact, I don't differentiate between glam and sleaze because there's so much crossover between the styles yet they can be SO different. Some bands sound like 80s hair metal (Wig Wam, Crazy Lixx Crashdiet); others lean toward the more punk side of things (Hardcore Superstar, Backyard Babies) and some straddle the middle ground (Buckcherry, Beautiful Creatures). And there's also that sub-sub-genre of this style that I call "honkytonk sleaze" which is personified by bands like Dogs d'Amour, The Quireboys and Diamond Dogs. Good luck figuring this genre out because it really is all over the place. In my humble opinion, if you want a band recommendation in this style, PM either Shiney (he's the President) or me (I'm the VP right Shiney?). I think of all the members here we enjoy this genre the most. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I admire your involvement in a genre you really like. That's cool. I was thinking exactly the same thing as I was typing that up. BTW, The Last Vegas fit into the sleaze category for me. Great band and glad to see a US band trading in the genre that seems to mostly come out of Scandanvia. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| They were said to be working on their third album but then they disappeared. Too bad - they were one of my favorite bands. _________________ | |

| For some reason, despite falling head over heels in love with Polaris and Sundancer, the rest of the songs didn't quite grab me as much as I was expecting. Both albums are good, but don't live up to those two songs. | |
