I like Queen but they are overrated IMO.

BTW, I figured you probably had listened to their entire catalogue. I know MB well enough to know he's sometimes only familiar with radio crap.

Possibly, but I think folks of your age that grew up with that stuff like it on a nostagic level, because musically, Queen is the equivalent of a delicious hamburger (Brian May) slapped in between two slices of used maxi pad (Roger Taylor / John Deacon) and topped with a steaming, slightly squishy turd (Mercury).

Nope. Definitely not nostalgia when it comes to Queen. My affinity for Styx might fall into that category but not Queen.

Not nostaligia for me either, I love Queen one of my favorite bands of all time and as a livve act few could touch 'em, plus IMO Freddie Mercury is one of the best singers in rock history.

I usually agree with Spec, exact 33 and MB and I have alot of common ground as far as are musical tastes are concerned I guess well have to agree to disagree.

Wow - I missed all the Queen comments!!!! I like Queen, I don't think they are overated. Freddie had an awesome voice!!!!! Personally, I prefer Queensryche (Promised land and before), but that is me!!!!

I cannot relate with much of this band's music.

Queen I can relate to and have been listening to since the 70's...

...Queensryche is the steaming turd sandwich that has ALWAYS been overrated in my book. The EP and The Warning...fine...the rest...OVERRATED BEYOND BELIEF!
