Are any of the newer Krokus cds like Hellraiser, Rock The Block, etc. any good?

Rock the Block is very good IMO. It sounds like classic Krokus (and by classic I mean pre-Blitz era material.)
Their latest sounds great. They are actually getting some airplay here with the new CD. Surprising actually.

Thanks, Ult!! I saw a couple of their newer discs used and thought about picking them up. I hadn't heard any songs off of them and didn't know if they would be worth getting. I'll have to pick them up if they're still there.

That's funny. I was listening to Change of Address today, and wanted peoples opinion on that album vs. the rest of the bands catalogue. This particular album seems a bit flirtatious with some mainstream radio friendly tunes.

"Hellraiser" was a pretty good disc. First time I'd heard Krokus in many moons, so I was pleasantly surprised. I was a pretty big fan back in the days of THE BLITZ and HEADHUNTER but their last few releases before they dropped off the radar here in the U.S. (i.e. CHANGE OF ADDRESS and HEART ATTACK) were kinda weak.

I thought Change Of Address and Heart Attack were on the weak side. I had kept my eye on a copy of Hellraiser on ebay and ended up winning it. I'm looking forward to getting it.

My favorite Krokus are well, all of them in the 80's. Change of Address has a couple of good songs, but it is such an attempt at mainstream stardom.

I thought the The Blitz and Change of Address were weak. Heart Attack was an attempt to get back to their "classic" sound IMO. It is not their best, but I like it.

On Heart Attack there is a song which is almost note for note a Dio song. I can't remember which, I'll have to pull it out and listen to it.

For some odd reason I had some of their tunes goin' thru my head today so I started YouTubin'em tonight... and figured I'd share. Yes, this is as exciting as my life gets on a Friday night nowadays.
"Headhunter"
"Screaming in the Night"
"Ballroom Blitz"
"Eat The Rich"
"Our Love"
Great band... cheesy videos. Enjoy.

Marc Storace sure had big hair. Not like he had a whole lot, but it sure was poofy on his head. Metal Rendevous was their best, imo.

Of the albums of their's I have, Headhunter is my favorite. I don't think there's a weak song on it.Besides the videos linked above I always thought Russian Winter is a really cool tune.

I know Krokus are considered a slice of Swiss Cheese and a poor man's AC/DC but I have always liked this band, well up to 'Change of Address' anyway.
This link has news of the new lp, current photo of band, and at the very bottom... best of all ! A video clip of a brand new tune

I really like the early Krokus songs like "Bad Boys, Rag Dolls" & "Long Stick Goes Boom".

I remember reading a Hit Parader many, many, years ago, but this letter has stuck with me after all this time. You know the part of the mag where people write in and they publish some of the mail they recieve.....This was what the letter said......"Now I know why the group Krokus calls themselves Krokus, because everytime we hear their music they Krokus"!
Now I don't agree with that statement, I'm not a fan or do I like bashing groups (except Nirvana, and Pearl Jam lol) but just after all this time, I have always remembered that letter, I think I'm crazy or something.
