Tesla has recorded a song or two by a famous thrash band from back in the mid 80's. I doubt if it will ever be released. I have been trying to get a copy of those tunes for a few years. No love.

look to Theatre of Tragedy as an example. goth/doom styled music with growled male vocals & clean sung female vocals.

It'd be interesting to hear a band like Helloween or Primal Fear cover something by Slayer or Overkill.
Maybe Helloween doing The Years Of Decay.
Maybe Primal Fear doing War Ensemble.
Those were just off the top of my head, though...who knows, they might wind up sounding like crap, haha...
...but I'd still like to hear it, just the same.

It was just for fun while jamming in Brian's studio. Only "Welcome Home(Sanatarium)" has vocals and the other song is an incomplete instrumrental version of "For Whom The Bell Tolls". I had a copy of those tunes in my hand once with recordings from an all acoustic show rehearsal w/ Tommy done here in Sacramento at an old movie theater. When I got back from ridng dirtbikes, it was gone and I was told that nobody is supposed to have that stuff. I still keep trying.

The Reflex by Duran Duran, maybe Blind Guardian could do it? Bird of Prey by Uriah Heep has an awesome metal riff. Redo it without some of the over the top falsetto vocals. Master of the Universe by Hawkwind would sound great redone too.

Minor Threat and State Of Alert (Henry Rollins' first band) both a hardcore version of "Stepping Stone".
I'd love to hear a metal version of "Touch Of Grey" (Grateful Dead) and "Johannesburg" (Gil Scott-Heron)
