| I listened to that new song and it is not half bad. Better than Black Rain but not by miles. But is does not sound like Gus G. playing. Not in the slightest. | |

| I've been hearing the new song allot recently and I'm still convinced it sounds like a Rob Zombie track. Not that there is anything wrong with that per say, but like Zdan said about Gus G. For his style of neo-classical playing, it doesn't jive with the style of the song. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| The only song I have heard (so far) sounds alot like Rob Zombie's solo work, so I have to agree with Metal Guy, I am not familiar with Gus G's work so I am not sure what his style is, but I am sure unlike past guitar players in Ozzy's band, Gus G did not have alot of input in the material. | |

I do not own any Firewind or any of the other bands that Gus G. has been associated with, so maybe I'm off-base with my asessment. From what I've heard here and there, I got the impression he's from the Yngwie Malmsteen School of Guitar Playing. That style of play doesn't seem to mesh with the modern rock-radio style of the new Ozzy song. I dunno, I could be wrong. But I have a feeling that Gus G. fanboys are going to be disappointed with the final product. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Not even close to sounding like his stuff with Firewind, Mystic Prophecy etc. Why bring him in if you're not going to let him influence the music? |

| Probably because he is technically proficient enough to do anything Ozzy/the songwriter wishes the guy to do. And his bands sounded as far away from BLS as possible to that may have been a factor. However any good guitarist would do for that role. | |

| http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=139938 Here's the preview for the new album, but it can only be viewed if you live in the US though... Which means that I can't hear it. Anyone know of any working US proxy servers? | |

| Gus G's playing to me can be described as traditional old school meets thrash metal. He has riffs on top of riffs and to say he will have no input on this album musically is a far stretch if you ask me. He is the guitar player and he will def impact this album..
If you dont know GUS buy his stuff NOW.. Amazing...
This album is going to be heavy...

| After hearing the preview, do you think that the album is going to be any good? How are Ozzy's vocals; do they sound natural or do they sound as enhanced as they have been on his last 3 albums?

Not even in the song that has crystal clear processed vocals? I've only heard the first single, but there is no way in heaven & hell (pun intended) that Ozzy's voice isn't auto-tuned, processed, echoed, layered, chopped, flipped, proccessed and Pro-Tooled to the nth degree. The man can't even speak a full coherent sentence anymore. Not to mention the album is produced by the guy the works with Rob Zombie. He's a studio wizard. Anyone that is even vaugly familiar with the music of Rob knows the majority of his music is Pro-Tooled out the wazoo. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It's his art. The last time Ozzy was on the Howard Stern show to promote his book, even Ozzy said something to the effect that "everything is done with Pro Tools now. I didn't even leave the house". _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Ozzy always had multi tracked vocals even going back to the 80's. Not as bad as the singer from Offspring where everything is double tracked, you never hear him without it. Dio on the other hand you hardly ever hear it multi tracked - guess he just has a mega strong voice.

| Ozzy doesn't stutter when he sings, he's always stuttered when he talks. That's not an uncommon occurrence.
I didn't like the single, it's "okay", but this type of "modern rock" is not to my liking. Last Ozzy album I really loved...Bark At The Moon. |

| Gus will contribute alot to this if you ask me. I think it will sound fantastic you really can't hear fully from one song or clips what it is gonna be like. I don't think Gus would have joined if he couldn't contribute on the cd. Speaking of Firewind, Gus and the band have laid down new tracks for the new cd that comes out late this year or early 2011! Hell I don't have room to talk. The last one I liked was "The Ultimate Sin". My problem is I never liked Zakk, not since day one...his "artificial harmonic" addiction needs to be cured by somebody...I think it's a similar disease to the "Kirk Hammett Wah Pedal cover up my deficiencies" disease. |

| I think David Chastain should be Ozzy's guitarist (or Ozzy his singer), and co-write everything. Just came to mind how cool it would sound, for some reason. | |

Growing up thats what I loved about Zakk, being a young guitar player I always wanted to know how he did that. As far as Kirk with the Wah I could care less both laid down some of rocks best and most memorable solos... This album is going to slay and hearing some of Gus's solos WOW...

| There's usually about three songs I really like off an Ozzy album and the rest I don't ever listen. So far I don't really care for any of them. | |
