| So you can usually get sludge, lighthearted crust punk, and dreamy post rock in the same album with Boris. I can tend to dislike a lot of a couple of those things, but I typically enjoy what this band does with them, often with an extra dose of eccentricity. My favorites are probably 'Amplifier Worship' and 'Flood', the latter being an incredible exercise in post rock ambiance (have I mentioned I hate the term? but that's the name for it for the time being), but I haven't heard *everything* they've done yet. Japan should have Boris vending machines. Does anybody else like? | |

| I have the CD Rainbow with Michio Kurihara. Pretty nice psychedelic rock. I really can't stand drone though, and I'm not a big fan of stoner rock, so most of their discography is of no interest to me (although the samples I've heard of Flood were pretty okay). | |

| Boris rules!! Pink is my favorite so far. I've been checking out the Japanese doom/death scene here lately & have come across a lot of good bands. Eternal Elysuim, Church of Misery & Coffins are all worth more than a listen. | |

| Listening to the 'Sun Baked Snow Cave' collaboration with Merzbow right now...anyone into classic Earth - as in Earth2 - really needs this..great drone noise stuff..and none of that half hour song crap..this is 62 minutes..woo! | |

I got the Japanese release of this a couple weeks ago and it's amazing. Some kind of direct mix of psychedelic rock and shoegaze, cleanly in some kind of pop format, yet without any in-your-face accessibility of either idiom. Sometimes like a different shade of later Sonic Youth and so forth. | |

| I have known about Boris for a while, but just recently have gotten into the sludge/doom stuff. If I like bands like Sunn O and Pelican, I'm sure Boris would be worth a second listen. | |
