VIC CHESNUTT dies at 45

Singer/Songwriter/actor VIC CHESNUTT died on Christmas day at the age of 45.

He came to semi-popularity in the early 80's when he worked with Athens Georgia's R.E.M....only to be sidelined years later by a car accident which left him paralyzed and wheelchair bound.

He continued to record and write music, and gained quite a cult following and collaborated with artists such as REM & STIPE as well as FUGAZI, GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR and others....

He acted as well, most known as Terence, the crippled musician whom Dwight Yoakam slams into the wall during the drunken band practice scene in SLING BLADE.

Great artist....sparse and haunting and ecclectic music.
