| Somehow I missed out on this band the first time around back when I was young. However, I've now attained two of their albums - and this band is quickly becoming a fave of mine. Any other fans? | |

| This band never clicked with me for some reason. I've had several of their albums over the years and though I couldn't deny that they were excellent musicians, their albums never quite grasped my nards firmly enough to save'em from the trade pile. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I love the 2 70's albums best after that they kinda went commercial in my eyes! Wargod50 | |

| One of the many bands I really want to get into. I like what I've heard of theirs, and I think I pretty much know which albums to get and which not to, but for some reason they aren't very high on the priority list. | |

Those discs are the most essential. After 'Meanstreak' they really started to go after a much more commercial sound. 'Hurricane' from "Earthshaker" would be my favorite song by them.... PLAY IT LOUD!! their later releases were also a bit spotty, unfortunately. Having grown up the SF Bay Area it was pretty IMPOSSIBLE not to know who Y&T were if you were in the metal/hard rock scene in the 80's.

| The Yesterday and Today lps are great, then the first three done under the Y & T moniker, likewise. Afterthat, my opinion is that they have great songs here and there on directionless albums. I have seen them about 6 times in the last two years. Still put on a good show. _________________ | |

To me they just hadnt found their niche yet. Those three albums above are the pinnacle of their career, with "Black Tiger" being their greatest achievement IMO. That's when they flirted with heavy metal. After "Meanstreak", they had their moments but overall I think they just lost focus of their hard rock/heavy metal roots and went for the big commercial bucks. They saw what everyone else was doing and wanted a piece of that pie. OPEN FIRE! All over this place!!

| I first heard Y&T when they were on the Real Genius soundtrack with "Summertime Girls". I used to love that song. But the album Down For The Count didn't do much for me beyond that song so I pretty much ignored everything they did....
Until I found in the discount bin a Japanese version of Black Tiger. Made me a fan. I also like the two Unearthed discs they have. Those are probably my favorite odds and sods of any band.

| I have to agree with Mr Electric, after 'Meanstreak' they seem to have lost the plot beginning with 'In Rock We Trust' where they were going for a more commerical sound. One album that may let you in on what all the fuss was about was the live album "Yesterday and Today Live' which was suppose to be their farewell show, great set list and over view of their career. | |

| Great band. I've been into them since the beginning. Their last 2 albums, Endangered Species and Musically Incorrect are very good. Dave and Phil are very cool guys. If you get a chance to see them live don't miss it. Last time I saw them was at a casino in Santa Fe and it was the best of the times I've seen them. I was very moved by the passion that Dave poured into and out of his guitar. | |

| I currently own "Contagious" and "Ten". I'm sure those are from their more commercial era. However, I have to admit to liking them both quite well. They've turned me into a fan. But again, I'm into a lot of the whole pop metal scene as a whole. I'll have to get more of Y & T's stuff, because it sounds like I need it! Thanks for all the input! | |

| Those are VERY "commercial" indeed. Most fans consider "Meanstreak" "Earthshaker" and 'Black Tiger" to be their best. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

I'll certainly get those albums. But you know me Ult. I like a lot of more pop metal stuff. Heck, I'm a Bon Jovi fanboy LOL! So I'm really enjoying these two Y & T discs. I guess I'm in the minority on liking them here. But to me - they are both FANTASTIC albums. Those two albums have turned me into a fan.

| Y&T have been a favorite of mine since '87. I have all their albums and I love them all. They are supposedly working on a new one. The Meniketti solo albums are excellent as well, if you like electric blues. |

| A band I never gave much credit to....until I saw them live last summer...and they blew me away. Seriously awesome!!! I now have slowly been trying to obtain their catalog....without having to sell off the kids. _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"
