| During break I only listened to a few albums: Human Fortress-Lord Of Earth And Heaven's Heir Kamelot-Various Songs Vanishing Point-The Fourth Season The 69 Eyes-Back In Blood (I'm glad Toho introduced me to this band during last year's Comp Swap because the 3 albums I've gotten from them so far are frigin' awesome) Last night: U.D.O.-Mission No. X Black Tide-Light From Above (I'd say it's time for these guys to show us whether or not they can break the sophmore slump) Cellador-Enter Deception Mortal Love-Forever Will Be Gone Threshold-Ravages Of Time Disc 1 Native Window-s/t TSO-Night Castle Slayer-South Of Heaven Stratovarius-Destiny Tonight: Leaves' Eyes-Njord Amoprhis-Skyforger Gotthard-Need To Believe Dio-Magica Extreme-III Sides To Every Story Marillion-Misplaced Childhood Marillion-Clutching At Straws Amoprhis-Tales From The Thousand Lakes Billy Joel-Various Songs | |

Vanishing Point-The Fourth Season Love this band. What do you think of the album? I feel like they are a bit overlooked because they are advertised as prog-metal and this and that, when realistically that's only a tinge of the sound, it's more like heavy, bittersweet AOR mixed in with slightly proggy or modern metal. And then when that description is there, it usually SOUNDS like something some groups of fans might shy away from but still doesn't quite describe the band. Just great songs, emotional in that aforementioned way, a different branch of prog/power. I don't think that album is as solid as 'Embrace the Silence' but there are still amazing songs on there...'Wake Me'.. 'I Surrender'.. yeah, everyone reading, find those on YouTube or somewhere, and those are how you'll know if you will like the band.

'I Surrender'.. yeah, everyone reading, find those on YouTube or somewhere, and those are how you'll know if you will like the band. One of my top albums of the past year and I was going to start a new post on them but never got around to it. It was a blind purchase from me and I'm glad I decided to get it (Embrace and the debut were the other options but I went with this because I liked the album cover best-hey, there had to be some way to choose between 3 albums of a band I knew nothing about). I personally like it better than Embrace (which is the only other album I have) but that is not to say Embrace is no good. I agree with the part about them being overlooked because I really can't detect that much prog (even though Toho says there's too much in it-but again he's very picky about music-not that that's a bad thing ).

| Pink Cream 69 - Past & Present (DVD) Why oh why do directors of today's concert DVDs feel it is necessary to edit the DVD with as many camera jump cuts as possible? Seriously, no angle in this DVD is held for more than 2 seconds and most are closer to 1 second. I thought I might start having seizures. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| It's so annoying. PC69 have some light show FX going on but you can't even really tell what they look like because the damn camera angles are changing every 1.5 seconds. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

one of the tv shows i watch has gotten into that bad habit. they do the split screen/multiple scenes on one screen etc. It really makes the content un-viewable... _________________
