also saw megadeth, lamb of god, megadeth, slayer, machine head, stone sour, killswitch engage, hellyeah, dimmu borgir, dream theater and loads of others besides

the weather was awesome and the toilets were better this year which was good

dream theater were amazinggly good and maiden were good as always

I watched Megadeth, Slayer and Wolfmother on the webcast - I would have watched Maiden, by the traffic got too much for the Download website. However, someone recorded it and I'm watching it now.

Good to hear you had a great time, I would've come if it weren't for exams. Seems like I missed out. Also, glad to hear the toilets were better because last year they were... wrong.

this year they also had outdoor urinals where you could have a slash surrounded by thousands of people

and more water points and cold drinks were avaliable for the first time every.

if you were american it would cost you 4 dollars for a drink but 2 quid for us so it was a ripoff

i had an exam on the friday and the monday and i went anyway. besides we got tickets before the exam times were announced but it meant up i did no revision at all for my english exam at all.

Yeah, I had the English exam on monday - couldn't really afford not to spend the weekend revising for it, unfortunately.

But yeah, it's good to hear that the water situation has improved too. Shame about the prices.

Yeah, I did Hamlet but not the language change one - my second essay was on a poet Gerard Manley Hopkins. Seemed to go alright in the end - how was it on your end?

i would not want to do it on a poem for the second question as i hate poetry.

i was dead tired as i only had a few hours sleep after going home after seeing the might Iron Maiden

I saw the Maiden webcast - looked like they were on fire. I wanted to go, but flights to england were running in $1200 range when I would have had to make plans. Seemed like the whole band put extra energy into the show.

Did anyone see Bruce fall during Wrathchild? Fell and kept singing, didn't miss a beat - his line about sharon was great (seemed like some idiot was trying to throw eggs at the stage).

I saw some of the Megadeth video - crowd was going nuts

i was five rows from the front for megadeth and i have never seen a crowd go so nuts when a band came on. it was insane.

in relation to maiden i thought they were amazing but i have also heard people say they were going through the motions

I downloaded a recording of Maiden's set and they looked fantastic. And yeah, the crowd were loving Megadeth, hence why they should have been a headliner - 3.35 in the afternoon, what is that!

yeah it was too early but it was so so good as was maiden
