| Anyone here smoke cigars? It's recently become a serious interest of mine, and I wonder if there are any others that enjoy a good smoke every once in a while...... |

| Have never smelled a cigar I like so I think i'd have trouble getting into it. Pipes seem to have a better odor and i've looked into them. |

| No, but I never "got" smoking as a whole - I've tried it, didn't think much of it. Doesn't taste good, sores your throat, and it smells bad. Never got how anyone could get addicted to it. But I hold a personal animosity towards all things smoke. Plus, it just destroys your lungs. | |

| YES! My buddy and I try to find a time once a month to smoke one. I usually go for AVO Uvezian's, Ashton's, Gurkha, Romeo & Juliet, Davidoff, etc. I once had a membership to Thompson Cigar's. Once a month never hurts. | |

| Arturo Fuente Curly Top is a good inexpensive smoke, best you can get for the $$, IMO. Drew Estates Natural is the best smoke I've had in a long time, still not too expensive. Most of the Acid brand are good also. | |

| I'll smoke a cigar on occasion if someone hands me one, like at a bachelor party or the birth of a child, but I don't think I've ever purchased one myself. The last time I smoked a cigar was over the summer. We were playing cards and my brother, back from a road-trip to Canada, brought back some Cubans. I didn't see what all the fuss is about. The one thing I hate about smoking a stogie. Usually at the time, it seems like a good idea (alcohol is usually involved as well) then the next morning, I have a horrible, horrible after taste in my mouth that I can't seem to brush away. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

Did your brother have enough cigars to share with the Cubans he brought back? |

| I'm a regular smoker of Black N Milds (insert urban joke here). But have been interested in moving into the big leagues. I just gotta find the opportunity to sit for an hour and smoke a big tube of tobacco. |

| Yes sir. I got into cigars about 10 years ago. The first 5 years or so I was always buying something different, sampling anything I could get my hands on. Then after many disappointments and allot of wasted money a friend of mine said that was fine at first, but then once you find ones you love and like, just stick with those. And that's what I did. I rarely go outside of the list below now. Too expensive and I don't like being disappointed. My favorites: Hoyo de Monterrey (longtime favorites-huge selection, all killer, well priced) Gloria Cubana (maduro torpedo is the bomb) Joya de Nicaragua Partagas H Upmann Don Tomas Jose Marti Puros Indios There's many more but those are the ones that come to mind when somebody asks me what I like. Also, regular Pepsi with a Cigar is THE MOST AMAZING THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD! | |

Years ago I'd enjoy one occassionaly, but my wife isn't keen, so I stopped. I'd still do it 1-3 times a year if I had buddies who played cards or whatever. I'd enjoy one socially. However, like Nazgul said, I think I'd enjoy pipe smoking even more.

Check out the website I posted - you can get a good sampler at a good price and see what you like.

| Haven't had one in awhile but I do enjoy a good cigar now and again. The last time I had one was when I passed out a bunch to friends when my son was born two years ago. I had a few left over so I smoked up the extras. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Did your brother have enough cigars to share with the Cubans he brought back? Nope, but they went on to work at a successful restaurant for a short while, hand rolling crepes. - Quote :

My father smoked a pipe because he liked the smell of it, but gave it up years ago. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

Stender, I expect this response from Schubert, not you. Oh the humanity..... haha! Dont get me wrong, cigars are the bomb too but if I'm going to go the studious route, I'd rather snag some tobacco from the briar shoppe along with my favorate pipe and sit down reading sherlocke holmes with a giant f'ing dobermann next to me.........actually, I'd just rather have a cigarette.

I have a pipe that I smoke on occasions. As far as cigars I couldn't tell you one from the other but I do like one now and then. However, I stay away from cheap cigars because I always end up with tobacco in my mouth and they fall apart half-way through. I'd be willing to try some higher end cigars one of these days but that urge has been put on hold. It's been several years since I had a cigar. I do smoke Swisher Sweet Little Cigars here and there (mostly at school because it gives me something to do on breaks and I enjoy blowing smoke-I never inhale though and can go forever without one). I get the grape flavor and the place I buy them from has a buy one get one deal.

| Awhile back I got some cigars, 2 Montecristos (don't know which type, one was black and one was brown) and an H. Upman Comeroon (I smoked that one last night). The black Montecristo was the best. The others were a tad too harsh but that one was actually quite smooth and had the better taste (and it was the only one that didn't fall apart half way through smoking it). In future I might just stick to that one. | |
