Pre-Order Jacobs Dream "Beneath The Shadows"

JD is one of my favorite bands. I have all their discs except for DOD. I even have their demo on disc. I preordered their new one. I love them all, but on Drama the production is a little weak. The guitars could have been beefier, if there is such a word. Chaz, great vocals. Keep it up. I'm looking forward to the new one.

I agree with that statement. I want DOD. However, there are a ton of other releases I want to get too. I'll get it.

First impressions: Someone's been listening a lot to Evergrey lately.... And that is a good thing

I think it was the in-between stuff that mostly reminded me of Evergrey, like the did on 'The Inner Circe' (incidentally my Evergrey favorite). It also reminds me of Sacred Warrior's "Wicked Generation" (another personal favorite ).

Nothing wrong with that. Im just glad that we were able to get some decent actors for it. Honestly if I may boast a bit lol I really do feel that this is JDs best album to date from either era. I know that we will always have those Taylor fans who won't ever let go of the nastalgia(spelling?) of that highly coveted first album. Many have said that the band has yet to match that album but I dissagree.

I do agree that it was one of our best albums and I love to sings songs from that album. However I just feel that "Beneath The Shadows" has more gripping emotion that has the potential to relate to so many people on thier own level in in there own personal way. You dont have to be a drug addict or a dealer to relate to the emotion that inssues on this album. Everyone has felt the sting of loss and the pain of guilt and poor decisions. I just think that no other JD album has near the lyrical magnatude although I like every album each for its own strentghs. However some still will not let go of good ol Davey:) I wonder how they would have accepted me if i were the original vocalist and if I were thier only vocal impression they ever had of the band?...hmmmmm...I wonder:)

"Wicked Generation"? O M gawd! I must order this new album soon! I love that sound! Plus I love Jacob's Dream. Always have.

Now that this is out I'll be ordering. Does Amazon.com carry this?

Well, Chaz, I ordered DOD from CDbaby. It should be here next week. Wait, it is next week. No, it's not. It's 11:50 pm ET. Looking forward to both releases.

Awsome. I hope you enjoy them both! DOD is more of a guitar driven Album but is a little less pollished production wise while BTS is more polished and more melodic/emotion oriented.

Maybe you should sens an email to the place you ordered it from. It's not like Chaz himself is taking all orders and sending them out....

Theres another BTS forum on this thing. I got the two confused. I emailed Matt and told him I hadn't gotten BTS. He sent another copy and got it in two days. This disc rocks!! In fact, both DOD and BTS rocks! I like both equally. Good job Jacob's Dream/Chaz!!
