I've been wanting to get into this genre of music for awhile, but I don't know of any good artists. Recommendations?

There is a band out of Dallas called Needfire that are great, they have at least 2 albums out that I know of, they put on a great live show. I'm sure you can Google them & find their stuff.

There's a group called the Chieftans who have made several albums of traditional Irish music. They have paired up with other artists for more popularized versions of Celtic music, too.

For straight Celtic music, The Chieftains, Gaelic Storm, Solas or Wicked Tinkers (bagpipe music) are what I know.
For Celtic music with rock touches I'd recommend Great Big Sea, Oysterband, Seven Nations.
For Celtic punk: Dropkick Murphys, Real McKenzies, Black 47, Flogging Molly.
And if you're interested in Christian Celtic rock/punk: Ceili Rain and Flatfoot 56.
Celtic music is one of my favorite genres and if you like any of these bands, there are a lot more where they came from.

You might want to check out the folk/rock bands that sprung up in the UK in the late 60's, namely Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, Pentangle, Horslips etc. Who arranged traditional Celtic/Irish folk songs in a more contemporary folk/rock setting, of course they also took traditional English and Scottish folk songs as well.
This is Fairport Convention's take on a traditional Irish Folk song "She Moved Through The Fair"...........

I love Horslips!
Their Book Of Invasions album is like taking a course in Celtic mythology.
