Fans?

I love the central and south american metal and punk scene, and the forerunners of the hardcore punk scene in brazil..Ratos de porao are one of my favorates. There stuff now is a little less focused I guess, but you cannot beat the resistencia disc from 1984 in my opinion...I love that album!

Check em macho, you would probably like it. The vocals are mostly in portugese for the most part though, a little spanish too.

I will. I have heard Metal Nobre, another band from Brazil, they also sing on their language.

I only have Brasil, but I enjoy it quite a bit, pretty damn good band.

early 80's - sloppy oldschool punk
mid-late 80's - crossover
early 90's - thrash
mid 90's-present - mostly metallic hardcore

Huge fanboy here. I have everything they have ever released - cd-wise - and a couple of splits on vinyl. I love ALL of their stuff, but Denscanse Em Paz from '86 is my fav. Total Crossover, before "crossover" really even had a defined label. Motorhead fans would dig their mid-late 80's catalog.

RDP was the band that made Sepultura want to get together. I'd say that is pretty influential.

Yeah dude!! the "basement rats" started everything in my opinion. I love Anarkophobia as well as the debut. The cover art to guerra civil canibal is so unsavory..haha. Makes me cringe more than anything off Morbid angel or anything else...I love em!

I remember 'em being mentioned in connection with Sepultura a lot back in the late 80s but can't recall if I ever actually heard'em. I know their ties with Sep got them signed to Roadrunner (Sepultura's label) for an album or two back then. They're still around huh?

I like Brasil and Anarkophobia, but can't say I get too excited with the stuff they released afterwards.

I'm not too familiar with the early stuff though. I have the English version of "Cada Dia Mais Sujo e Agressivo" (called Dirty and Aggressive, released on CD in 1992 by Cogumelo, for the collectors here), but I don't listen to it too often.
