| Here is the thread....for those who fancy wordplay, poetry, prose...short stories...limmericks...whatever. If you like to write and want us to read it and give our thoughts...plunk it here. I love my odd poetry and have posted it on other boards to usually good response from those who actually read the threads. SO..... | |

| I'll start.... Here are some newer splinters....may end up in the book I've been compiling for a few years...that will be printed either after I've died or I win the lottery... "Valentine" The sky is pregnant Full of stars like fish Wet and gasping Fat with cancer And Christian thought Night calls collect A murder of crows In the palm of each hand I can't wait to see you I can't wait to see you again I can't wait to find out who you are. "M" Your Love A smear across my face A kiss sticky as citrus Tangled like vines or political tongues A seeking touch in darkness soft as spider steps Sharp as glass I love you in so many ways. "187" Shadows Stuff my cheeks A Smile Only a lover could Mother Stainless Lethal A renegade Saviour point the finger Sharpen the sticks Stab me in the back Kiss the wound that is weeping there hold me up, A scarecrow.
"Perish" Our Cartoon Defiles everything With thick lines And fevered f***ing Heaven never craves the beautiful Our risque kindred Quite Versatile Black laughter is a Voodoo Summer Moon shackles There is nothing so Atheist As love or truth "Stir" You, the sweetness Shifting eyelids many markings mouth like margarine Saving grace in soaking shoes Lips full and wet The colour of rotten meat Tangibility Turn out the light Shed Our Clothing Shed Our Morals Shed Our Skins melt "Feltch" Tall Words Suffocate Under tongue like little creatures You drag your feet while they drag the river There is no such thing as too thin or too kind Or slight heart attacks All's well as we swell Just another dead horse In need of beating This sickness must be earned This sickness must be earned The language of the moon is floods A hazy destiny in capital letters I's dotted with girly little hearts Queer as free speech The puppets are all on fire Smiling as they burn Smiling as we burn "T-Waits" With eyes pinned down Backbone twisted Prayers in your cupped hands like a dead baby bird Tears running nowhere A holiday for none I touch your hair Cold and wet I hold your chin Cold and wet I clutch you to me Cold and wet Now you dig a heart shaped grave For everyone and someone Most probably for me... | |

| I actually have a poem that was published. I'll have to put it up when I get a bit more time. It's called Camelot In Smithereens, but no, it is not a rip-off of Deliverance! LOL! Arttie | |

| some more...to keep this thread rom dying: "The Aquaintance" A looking glass smile sarcophogus manners We go not lightly into this trespassing tarantula like we are spiritual nowhere I love you like cat's paw I love you like schizoid I love you like graveyards Come repellent and kinky kiss me like vermin kiss me like snakeskin kiss me like rapture touch me where it's dark inside where angels cower beneath sooty halos where tiny red bubbles nest at the corner of my mouth you may break them with your tiny tongue and wetly whisper the name of another... "The Blush" In this place Silence grows fists darkness smiles the pulpit burns like reason this place of thin skin of shining bruises of special scars and sympathetic scabs a museum of wounds and wishes captured on flypaper in this place a kiss can be a smiling wrist or a bottle of pills or exile to another place as bad as this _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? | I used to write poetry, but haven't really done any in years. I first started in Elementary school, and one of my poems was selected to be added in a play that the local acting company/house did. Earned high marks on my work in high school English as well, when covering prose, etc. Haven't written any since then. I think my ex-wife pounded the desire out of me. _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

Falling, forever, leaving, good-bye. Hateful, Arrogant, Evil, Despise. Never, realize, the truth, is a lie.
Sorry it's centered. Well it looked centered before I posted it... lol |

| I still have a ton of stuff I wrote when I was a teen. But looking back at it, it is all from a VERY 16-year-old-punk-living-on-the-streets perspective. Inappropriate for any forum. |

| Here's a few more: INDEED Just yesterday—a sad day, indeed!—I was in love And was sent a message from afar Within: words from a small devil She was curt, and quick I thought, a mistake this must be! I am in love! And the devil smiled from without Aware of the pain MY DISEASE I felt him on your hands Tasted him on your lips Lover, dear Lover Was he smart enough To know where you’d been? Oh, he may have been inside you But you were inside me You are my disease The sickening grows Slowly, surely You spread 6/15/04 I met a man Through letters sent And was then reacquainted with a girl I did not ask for those words She was compelled— Though she did not believe STORIES Oh, the great betrayer She comes Slowly, thinking What stories to tell? What stories to tell? These will all be included in this: Due out soon. |
