Deliverance was recorded at the same sessions as Damnation (they were originally supposed to be released together). Deliverance is the "heavy" record, Damnation the "mellow" one.

Both incredible albums. The title track of Deliverance is one of my favorite Opeth tunes (thus far).

Yeah, I knew about them being released together, I just never picked it up.
