| I went from being a metalhead who had a couple classical albums to a classical and metal listener. The two musics are really similar: like metal, classical strings together a series of riffs to tell a story.
My favorite composers are:
* Franz Schubert * Ottorino Respighi * Gustav Faure * Anton Bruckner * Camille Saint-Saens * Ludwig van Beethoven * Robert Schumann
All of these dudes are extremely "metal": stormy, powerful, dark and lawless music.
Some of my transition was inspired by the Talk Classical metal forum and "Classical Music for Metal Fans".
Anyone else listen to classical?

| I like classical music and have a boxset of different composers. Believe it or not I started checking out classical music when I was 15 due to artist like Yngwie Malmsteen, Ritchie Blackmore, and even some solos from Wolf Hoffman made me curious about classical music. I donot listen to it as often as I once did. | |

| Love Classical music. I played violin for 8 years, mostly Classical and Middle Eastern music, it was great. I have to dust off my old violin, haven't played it since maybe 2002.
I love Bach's concerto's and sonata's. I think Baroque era Classical is probably the best and deepest and heaviest of the materials that I've ever enjoyed.

| I appreciate its influence and have loads of respect for the composers and orchestras who perform it....I just don't really like listening to it. | |

| I like classical in a metal context... like the stuff Paul Gilbert, Randy Rhoads and Malmsteen have done. | |

| I don't listen to it as often as I used (keep meaning to work on that) but I like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Wagner...the usual guys, I guess | |
