Dude, you rule! Devo is one of my favorite bands. Very diverse group, with songs ranging everywhere from synth-pop to punk rock. One of the first "alternative" bands, and it's a shame that they're only remembered for "Whip It".

Yeah.They are known as a techno group so no one ever likes them.I'm a nerd(smarts not looks)so devo is like the best band ever.

I was into them when I was in my teens (late 70s early 80s)

I liked "Beautiful World", plus I liked the "New Traditionalists"
album and thought it was underated.I kept up with them
over the years and even bought some of the later stuff
like the album that has "Peekaboo", I forgot the name.
The singer Mark Mothers....something had something to
do with the Rugrats cartoon and the other day I seen him
on my daughter's "Noggin" tv channel (Nickelodeon for preschool
kids) and he was drawing something!

Devo videos were a staple of MTV in its infancy so I saw stuff like tjhe classic "Whip It," their cover of the Stones' "Satisfaction" over and over again. You couldn't help but like them, they were so off the wall. Later videos included weird stuff like the song "Peek-A-Boo" and "Through Bein' Cool." They were a very odd band but were definitely true originals.

I had VH1 Classic on over the weekend and they were counting down the "100 Best Songs of the '80s" or something like that, anyway Devo's video for "Whip It" came on and my six year old said "This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life" Laughing very hard

Devo is totally awesome! One of my favorite bands from the 80's. In any given 80's mix CD I make, you are likely to find one of their tunes. Their Greatest Hits album is constantly on my car deck. Love them.
