We were the last show there. They didn't have any shows on Sunday and didn't have anymore scheduled until tonight.

Been watching the news on this. Too bad. At least they saved the El Rey and the Launchpad can be fixed. There is still no word on the cause of the fire.

Hopefully the Golden West will be rebuilt as well. Time will tell.

They say it was caused by a bucket with linseed oil-soaked rags in it that spontaneously self-combusted. Kind of weird, if you ask me....for something to do that, I thought it had to be pretty hot around there, like hot sun, or something.

BACK of the club

At least the club next door (The Launchpad) is reparable. I've seen Overkill, Iced Earth, Nevermore, Fireball Ministry, Kreator, Napalm Death, Requiem Mass, Destiny's End and many other bands there. It's closed for at least a few months due to smoke and water damage and a structurally unsound wall that was shared between the two clubs.
