Well, we talked about it at practice last night. We are for sure going to start playing "Creeping Death" live. It's a fun song and one that we all like, so that was an easy pick. I don't think it will be recorded, but just something to play live. We do a lot of local shows to the same people, so throwing in a cover here and there will be fun.

We are going to re-record one of our own songs from 1996 for an up-coming compilation CD.

We are debating recording an additional cover. I think narrowing it down to 10 songs is a good idea. I'll bring it up at the next practice.

Yup, I think a full covers album would rule. 'Creeping Death' is a must! Haven't seen you guys play it yet, though...but on the other hand, I haven't been at practice, either!

Some others I might suggest would be:

'Ton of Bricks' by Metal Church....although it might be due for slight lyrical change...? Maybe not; it depends on the interpretation, I guess. That's a monster of a song, though!

Something from an early Exodus album....but it's tough to find any that are agreeable lyrically and still cool enough to cover! Possibly 'Toxic Waltz' or 'Parasite'?

'Angel of Death' from Slayer.....naaah, just kidding.

Morty's 'Gut Wrench' really would be awesome, I think.

I agree with the idea of a list of 10 songs. I still think Watch the Children Pray would be perfect.

You know what would be cool to record maybe not for an album but for fun (or a b-side) would be to metallisize a real old-school rock tune like travellin' band from CCR. No Sugar Tonight from the Guess Who would sound really cool done Priest style.

Or, for fellow KISS fanatic Scott: cover Deuce with double-bass during the guitar segments. Oh baby, that would be sweet.

Green Eyed Lady would sound pretty bad ass done the way you're talking about Firehouse.

We got together last week and worked on a cover of Creeping Death. It sounded good, so I think that might happen.

ult, you should call Ron Reinhardt and have him sing Creeping Death with you since that was really the last thing we have heard from him. You could record it for the CMR III CD. Or we could get a comp together over here.

That would be cool. However, we aren't planning on recording Creeping Death. We're just gonna play it live I think. However, since we are suppose to record a live show this summer or fall, we may record it live.

As for the CMRIII comp, we are suppose to re-record "Mortal Stomp". I'm looking forward to that.
