Saw that flyer in the other room. I loved my time in Australia (4 months in OZ and NZ!). Any cool stories?

We were never there. The flyer you saw was from 1994 when Morty were touring the U.S. for their "Bloodworld" album. We opened for them in Albuquerque.

That was a big show for us. Morty were still very popular at the time. 400 people packed into that little place we played. We opened for Morty for the first time and it was this show that we became friends with Steve Rowe, who later signed us and got us our Diamante distribution contract. Steve watched us play and immediately after came to our table and bought a few shirts and some of our "Symphonic Extremities" demo tapes. It was a big honor for us.

Ah. That flyer was miss-leading. "Live from Australia" probably should have read "Mortification from Australia - Live" or something. I knew ya opened for 'em here. That is still a very cool story, though. When was the last time you talked to Steve? Wonder if there is any chance they might want to play the SW - Summer '09 (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)?

Knowing Steve, he'd probably be willing to play any festival, if we were willing to fly his band out.
