My first listen to Into the Pit

OH MAN! This is freakin' phenominal! This is exactly what I've been looking for: dynamic, technical, but aggressive thrash with a little power metal epicness (if that's a word?).

It boggles my mind how Ultimatum isn't huge all over the place right now. I'm looking at this album as a classic.

The production's awesome. There's nothing I hate more than technical albums with bad production; I wanna hear the double-bass! Well, this one delivers. Speaking of that, thanks for so much double-bass! I love it. The double-bass spurts in "Heart of Metal" had my jaw dropped.

Other favourites are "Exonerate". What a furious, brutally fast tune. The lead break in "Blind Faith" is absolutely sick. You guys truly are incredible musicians. Scott, did such a good job on "Wrathchild". I love that scream/moan during the solo/interlude section. Did you put some kind of effect on your voice? Outstanding. The title track is also wicked awesome. I'm particularly fond of instrumentals, as they add such an interesting texture to albums (especially in this case, when it's followed by a monster tune).

I need to get every Ultimatum album. This is pure metal mayhem! Great music guys!

I also got the 2 I ordered. One of them is for a cousin, but before that, I lend it to another friend, and he love it.
