| Great photo... very old-school lookin'. The green color scheme reminds me of a lot of Overkill covers ... was that intentional? _________________ "And everybody knows the center of the Universe is Huddersfield. That's why I don't live there anymore."

| I like the idea and cover. My first thought was Balls to the Wall. I would recommend to leave green color for the Logo Only, and probably the bullets, just to see how it turns out, or leave the colors that REX did on the hand, vivid logo, more jean pants looking, and with those bloody splatters. But overall I think you guys nailed it. I was thinking of some Jean jacket showing the back patches, but It would look very fanatic |

Thanks powermacho. Appreciate your input.
The "patch clad jean vest" will be on the inside pages. Obviously I couldn't use "patches" with other bands logos on the front cover. The denim and leather theme will run throughout the artwork. I actually have a similar photo with a denim vest, rather than the leather vest. However, I really wanted BOTH denim and leather, along with the spikes and bullet belt. The different elements on the cover will play into the different bands we are paying homage to. Bullet belts remind me of Lemmy and Motorhead.
I like the green, so I doubt that will change. It sort of goes along with some of the past Ultimatum CDs (Puppet, Mechanics and to a lesser degree Into the Pit) and also gives a bit of a nod to Overkill, who we are covering on this CD.
Nothing wrong with the Balls to the Wall reference. Glad you caught that. I'm also glad others saw Crue, The Stones, etc. Others also said WASP - Animal. That's the point. Taking the past and paying tribute to it by doing it Ultimatum style._________________ |

| I think the cover looks totally classic and totally metal all rolled into one - perfect for a metal covers album, IMO! And that splash of blood Rex added only made it better! :metal: And as for those who might get offended, as my father in law says: "Let them who don't want none have memories of gettin' none!" | I like it my only concern was the Christian mom not wanting to buy it for Jr but as we are covering all secular songs mostly and the aim isnt really the Christian market but the mainstream I thought it was brilliant! But Im sure we will get flack for it, be it the cover, or the songs. So I say, what else is new? LOL! Im not sure I like Rex's add ons I kinda like the original a little better.. Sorry Rex.. |

| I am with Robert on the original. And Robert - Just be "Robert". If you do that, all the bases are covered. My idea, and I don't know how much added expense this would be, but - What about a collage of all the Ultimaniacs as the centerfold? You have plenty of Ulti-Tats, personal friends/fans, family that have supported the band for 15 years, etc. I would think a "non-conventional" album like this would be your best chance to give back, in a tangible way, those that have been there all these years. It's definately an "old school" idea, as the theme seems to mandate. _________________ WHO WRINKLED MY RANDY TRAVIS POSTER?!?!?! AH, BOB SAGET!! www.unclesaxon.com - Your place for RARE Metal! |

Agreed. That would be a cool addition to the booklet._________________ "Conventionality is not morality. Self-righteousness is not religion. To attack the first is not to assail the last."

It's ok....can't please everyone. In fact I never meant for it to look like a bloody fist, I was just trying to throw in a complimentary color that would accent the green and still be somewhat of a natural skin color. |

| I like the all green version. The added color on the 2nd one is a little distracting now. I didn't notice it before, but now that you mentioned it, it does look a little like "Sex Nietalis" _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| Personal opinion: I like the second version. The colors that Rex added enhance the "raw" feel. The fist now looks more scraped and cut, like you've just been in a fight. With the hints of red and color highlights, I think it adds an "aggressive" feel to the cover, which in my opinion goes very well with an album full of thrash and classic heavy metal cover songs. To me that cover signifies a guy busting his hump at a 9-to-5 blue-collar job, then slaves away at the bar scene trying to get his band off the ground, taking his lumps in the process. |

| I showed the first pic to my dad yesterday and he says you guys should just go straight up all black and white for the cover....fist,bullet belt, basically everything except the Ultimatum logo would look like a demo tape or something. For the logo, he says go with the original Ult logo seen on puppet of destruction or symphonic extremities instead of the shiney logo you have now. _________________ THRASH IS LIKE ZOMBIE....IT NEVER DIE....HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

No matter what the end result is, You guys nailed it with the Artwork. One last thing. I was thinking of maybe on the back of the cd, that you guys listed the names of the songs with the same FONT style of design as the bands you guys are covering
I think Something like this would look cool on the back of the cd, as if they where patches or something over a jean jacket:
