The green color scheme reminds me of a lot of Overkill covers ... was that intentional?

I like the idea and cover. My first thought was Balls to the Wall.

I would recommend to leave green color for the Logo Only, and probably the bullets, just to see how it turns out, or leave the colors that REX did on the hand, vivid logo, more jean pants looking, and with those bloody splatters.

But overall I think you guys nailed it. I was thinking of some Jean jacket showing the back patches, but It would look very fanatic

That cover would look awesome on a 12-inch LP jacket (hint, hint)

I think the cover looks totally classic and totally metal all rolled into one - perfect for a metal covers album, IMO!

And that splash of blood Rex added only made it better! :metal:

My idea, and I don't know how much added expense this would be, but -

What about a collage of all the Ultimaniacs as the centerfold? You have plenty of Ulti-Tats, personal friends/fans, family that have supported the band for 15 years, etc. I would think a "non-conventional" album like this would be your best chance to give back, in a tangible way, those that have been there all these years.

It's definately an "old school" idea, as the theme seems to mandate.

OK, some tweaking and such from suggestions offered here and elsewhere. The "L" should look less like an "S". The Ultimatum logo should look less "plastic". I also reduced the metallic look of the album title a bit so it doesn't get lost in the image. Added more contrast to the photo. Two different versions presented here, one with the skin tone added, the other all green.

I like the all green version. The added color on the 2nd one is a little distracting now. I didn't notice it before, but now that you mentioned it, it does look a little like "Sex Nietalis"

I still like the second one. Now the album name looks less like the Grave Digger logo.

Personal opinion:

I like the second version. The colors that Rex added enhance the "raw" feel. The fist now looks more scraped and cut, like you've just been in a fight. With the hints of red and color highlights, I think it adds an "aggressive" feel to the cover, which in my opinion goes very well with an album full of thrash and classic heavy metal cover songs.

To me that cover signifies a guy busting his hump at a 9-to-5 blue-collar job, then slaves away at the bar scene trying to get his band off the ground, taking his lumps in the process.

I showed the first pic to my dad yesterday and he says you guys should just go straight up all black and white for the cover....fist,bullet belt, basically everything except the Ultimatum logo would look like a demo tape or something. For the logo, he says go with the original Ult logo seen on puppet of destruction or symphonic extremities instead of the shiney logo you have now.
