Sorry, I'm a little behind!

GET YOUR WINGS was my intro into heavy rock. My older brother had the album, but I think I listened to it more than he did! I had not listened this album for years, but when I purchased this a while back on CD, I still knew every word. Every song on the album is strong. I think I've shared before that I listened to this album once when I was about ten and home alone in the evening. The intro to Seasons of Wither freaked me out! Really love 70s Aerosmith. They've lost me in recent years.

Toys 3rd best of 70s

Toys was the first Aerosmith record I ever owned, so it's still a sentimental favorite. It's basically a near perfect rock album, all c0ck-sure swagger and love of volume. This record always sounded LOUD, even when played quietly.

The hits were great of course, but I always really liked Adam's Apple from this record.

I would say this was the record where their sound truly crystallized.

Great album from Aerosmith yet again. Faves are Adam's Apple, Sweet Emotion, Round And Round & No More, No More. Aerosmith has one of the most underrated rhythm sections of all time and Brad Whitford is underrated and IMO better than Joe Perry, I saw Aerosmith do a live version of "10" and Brad played a smokin' solo. I've always liked Tom's bass playing on Sweet Emotion especially during the verses, how he does something different from Joe & Brad until the last verse and then he doubles the riff.

Aerosmith RULES! This album is AWESOME! "Rocks" is stinking heavy, bombastic, and way ahead of it's time. We get everything from heavy funk metal in "Get the Lead Out" and "Last Child," to speed metal in "Rats in the Cellar," to heavy blues based metal in "Sick as a Dog." Of course there is also the screaming, ear shattering vocals of Steven Tyler in "Back in the Saddle." "Lick and a Promise" is a heavy guitar romp that allows Joe Perry to smoke! Joe Perry and Brad Whitford just whip Jimmy Page at his own game with this, one of the greatest rock n roll/heavy metal albums ever made and ranks as my favorite Aerosmith discs. The remastered version contains deluxe Aero-packaging complete with all original liner notes and some photos of Aero-collectables. What more can you ask for. Did I mention Aerosmith RULES?

Hail ROCKS! Easily my fave Aerosmith album. Nuff said.

My favorite Aerosmith album of all time, and the title says it best 'ROCKS'.

'Nobody's Fault' 'Rats in the Cellar' "Last Child' are all classics. Whatever influence they had left over from the Stones had been purged and Aerosmith created their own sound, this album would serve as a blueprint for an entire generation of musicians that followed.

Ahhh - the BEST album Aerosmith has ever released. This is also the first Aerosmith album I ever owned - got it from my Uncle who was off in the Army. My Grandparents where moving (my Dad was the oldest of 6), kids where now out of the house. I was in 8th grade and I was given all of the LP's left at their house that weren't claimed. With my Uncle overseas in the Army, some of his albums were left. Rocks was one of them and the album just rocked when I first put it on!!!! On side note, I also got some other cool 70's albums out of it, like Sweet and Slade!!!

I agree Rocks is Aersmith's best, it's hard to choose a fave because I like them all. This album just smokes and the chemistry is there. One of the heaviest albums of its time.

While the previous few albums only have a song or two a piece, ROCKS is my favorite Aerosmith, and the only one I really liked from start to finish and bothered to buy on disc. Good album

This album has incredible flow from track to track. Man, what a gem! This one proves that Aerosmith are one of the greatest rock bands in history. This album would definitely be their peak as full fledged drug abuse and infighting would begin to take it's toll, but what a ride they were on! I just cannot pick a favorite track here as there are so many great songs to choose.

Haven't heard Get Your Wings, but the other three albums are some awesome early heavy metal records. Some of my friends from high school have even said Aerosmith had a big effect on heavy metal. That's a big compliment coming from anyone at my old school.

Like I said, I only have the two greatest hits things, but "Rocks" does contain my favorite Aerosmith song, "Last Child".

I remember I was in grade school bragging that I had the new Aerosmith - Draw the Line record. Begged my mom for it and she finally picked it up at K-Mart. (It's funny, the weird litle things you remember from your childhood.) My school friends didn't care, after all, it wasn't someone cool like the Bee Gees, Sean Cassidy, Jackson 5 or the Bay City Rollers. Ahh, what did I know?

"Draw the Line" rocks and is one of the best Aerosmith records ever released. The thing about it is, most of it was recorded while the band was in total turmoil in the midst of fighting, drugs and the excesses of the rock and roll lifestyle. Still, with the help of Jack Douglas, they managed to record a total masterwork. "Kings & Queens" is simply phenomenal. The banjo mixed in with the heavy rock 'n' roll is pure brilliance. "Draw the Line" is a classic rock and roll song. "Bright Light Fright" featured the vocals of Joe Perry for the first time, which would be sort of a scary prophecy of things soon to come. This song has an almost punk delivery, and certainly Perry admits that the late 70's punk movement was an inspiration on him at the time. "Milk Cow Blues" was one of those songs that Aerosmith had been playing since they were in the clubs, so this song naturally just sounds like one of their own, despite being a cover. "Sight for Sore Eyes" is a funky song written with the aid of David Johansen of New York Dolls fame. I really have nothing negative to say about this disc whatsoever. I suppose when you grow up with an album, you either look back and wonder why you liked something or you cherish it for the rest of your life. Sure glad I wasn't listening to the Bay City Rollers.

"Draw The Line" is my favorite Aero album due to the title track, Kings and Queens and I Wanna Know Why which are my three favorite Aerosmith tracks. I think this one gets overlooked because of how good "Rocks" was, but I think that this album has alot to offer, and is usually what I choose when I'm in an Aerosmith mood.

This is one of the Smith albums that I really really REALLY need to upgrade to CD, I haven't heard it in a long time. I damn near burned out my cassette of this one when I was in high school though. Fave tracks would be the title song, "Critical Mass" and "Kings and Queens."

The album cover is one of those "so ugly it's cool" things, drawn by the famed theatre cartoonist Al Hirschfeld (known mainly for drawing the covers for many issues of the Broadway magazine "Playbill" throughout the 50s, 60s, and 70s.) He was famous for hiding the name of his daughter ("Nina") in all of his works. There are several "Nina's" buried in this drawing, if you look close you can find'em mostly hidden in the band members' hair.

I love this record and another winner from Aersomith. Alot of critics til this day point this out as the beginning of the end of the golden era of Aerosmith, I disagree. While it is true they were a drug addicted mess, these drug addicts managed to produce any album that is crackling with primal energy.

The title track is a classic track and features one of Steven Tyler's best screeches near the code, 'Get It Up' explores their funk influences, 'Bright Light Fright' out punks the punk and 'Kings and Queens' is the type of power ballad that most hair bands in the 80's would have given their left nut to have the ability to write a song this good.

'Sight for Sore Eyes' is another classic track and sadly overlooked. 'I Wanna Why' asks why everyone's good intentions want to make a fool out of the Aerosmith boys, at this point in their career the only one making fools out of Aerosmith was their coke dealers, but this album is a masterpiece and in the words of Inxs they created this while they were elegantly wasted. One of the most underrated heavy metal album of the 70's.
