I meet Chuck a few times during the late 80's and early 90's, he was very nice guy and was very soft spoken person. He used to shop at a Metal cd shop called "Ace's Records' where his friend worked so I would see him from time to time.

After 1991, I never spoke to him again, but that year I did get to Death live with a few other bands at the Ritz. Besides him being an important musician in helping shape and create a genre, more importantly I remember him as a being a gentleman who always took time out for his fans.

He always struck me as a nice guy as well, even though I never got to meet him.

It was cool because I didn't even realize it was the anniversary till i saw it on the boards while listening to leapersy.

R.I.P Not as familiar with his music as I'd like to be (I only have Symbolic) but there is no denying his place in metal history.

DallasBlack, I'd recommend getting Human next. Their best album, in my opinion. However, I would interestingly recommend Symbolic to a first timer, as it is more accessible.
