I only know Triumph & Agony, but limited band knowledge has never stopped me from gettin a tribute album before. When I got the Judas Priest tribute albums from Century Media, I only knew various radio hits and Painkiller.

OK, so I've listened to it twice now and it's not getting any better, I have a couple of issues with it, maybe it's me being picky but why are Warlock contributing a song to this ? a new song would be cool, but they sing "Earthshaker Rock", also why on earth would you have two bands covering the same song "Cold Cold World" ??

Out of the 14 songs, there are only 4 that I like, and they are of course by the more established bands. Crystal Viper "Mr. Gold", Emerald "Burning the Witches", The Mystery "Bd Blood", & Sabaton "Fur Immer", Cover art ois cool but general packaging is shite, layout etc....

I just I'm pissed due to the fact that Warlock are/were an Iconic figure in the Metal world and I personally feel that they deserved a truely excellent Tribute CD.

This looks very much like the WASP tribute album, also with CRYSTAL VIPER, with cheap layout too and not very good. Still, it will be nice to listen to CUSTARD playing METAL TANGO, TRUE AS STEEL done by the french LONEWOLF and the songs you named LOCKY but yes, DORO and WARLOCK deserve a better tribute album.

I have the last Emerald CD which was also released on Pure Steel records and it's a good package (booklet etc..), but this could have been done better, all it has for each participating band within the booklet is, name, song & line up, not even a bloody Myspace link. I'd expect this from me Very Happy

but not a so called established label
