Thrash Bands I Should Check Out

In wanting to broaden my thrash metal cataloge, I asking if there are thrash bands that aren't that well known that I should check out. Considering I've only got Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Disturbed (the real one, imo. Thanks Sax), I'm sure there are quiet a few out there worth checking out. I've already got Testament and Exodus on my "need to buy" list. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

check out early Voivod (later stuff too its just not thrash) check out Anhilator, Destruction, Kreator, Sodom there all hard-fast thrash metal

There loads more but I'll leave some for others

Nuclear Assault and Xentrix in addition to the other mentioned.

Maybe some Eidolon, Slayer, or Accuser.

This was posted before but we talked about underground bands. Maybe some of the guys can bring the link. If you are new into thrash check out these great bands: TRANSMETAL, TANKARD, HEATHEN, WHIPLASH,VIO-LENCE, DARK ANGEL, DELIVERANCE, SEVENTH ANGEL, VENGEANCE RISING, FORBIDDEN, ANNIHILATOR, SACRED REICH, nuclear assault, overkill, and I think you have heard of Ultimatum and Avenger Of Blood, but if you haven't you need to check them out.

Good thread. I'll be keep an eye on this one as I've wondered about this myself and I've never really branched out past Megadeth, Metallica and Anthrax either.

Are your cd's only available online at Amazon, ebay, etc., or are they available in stores also?

you can get them directly from the band. If you are going to get any, I recommend all. You also should do a research of what type of thrash you like more. There is Californian, New York,german, speed,groovie, cross over, and the new wave of thrash which are the new retro bands like TOXIC HOLOCAUST, Merciless Death and so on. My favorite is Californian Thrash

Enforecer is a great new old skool thrash/speed metal band from Sweden.

Personally I think they sound a bit like NWOBHM act Jaguar.
