So I'm way, way late on Heaven and Hell. My daughter was listening to it on youtube and asked why I didn't have it. I couldn't give a logical/reasonable answer, especially considering how much I like RJD.

So...this album is freaking incredible!! Start to finish. I'm glad the metal world still throws me these little nuggets I've managed to miss over the years. I wonder what else I'm missing?

It's a superb album! 10/10 and one of the greatest metal classics of all time.

For me, my brothers had Ozzy in Sabbath.....
So it was a whole new generation that listened in....
It was winter time when I repeatedly listen to it after high school...
As budding guitar player...no way could I play any of those songs...and do them justice.
I always thought the album, both sides, was cool to stare at.
Lady Evil was such a cool, smooth, bluesy number !
Like Draw the Line Aerosmith....drawing was great on flip side.
Die Young was a haunting song...Lonely is the Word....
...and Dio was always the dark poet of mysticism.
Ozzy exploded solo. Dio soon followed going solo.

I might prefer this over the Ozzy stuff. Dio

I'd take a few Ozzy-Sabbath albums over Heaven and Hell (Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Vol. 4), as I think The Mob Rules is the stronger album of the two Dio-fronted ones.

Heaven and Hell is one of my favorite songs ever regardless of band/album, but I think the album has some weaker cuts like Wishing Well and Walk Away, while The Mob Rules is almost an example of complete metal perfection. I love every song on there.
