2023 Releases

Let's list all the new upcoming albums that will be coming in 2023. Here's a short list of some better know bands already verified:

List some bands you guys know will be releasing new albums in the New Year.

Coincidentally that release date is also how I would rate Katatonia as a band.

They are background kind of music for me.

I’m still waiting for the long overdue albums from Dark Angel and Coroner.

Nothing interesting that i am aware of, so far.

Avenger of Blood - Completely Re-Annihilated

Hopefully we get a new Priest album.

Todd Michael Hall told me that Riot V are also working on a new album. Fingers crossed

I'm looking forward to the upcoming albums from:

Monstrosity
Overkill
Riot V
Sacrifice

All of the above are at least working on new material. Hopefully they'll all have albums out in 2013!

I believe Metal Church would also be releasing a new studio album in 2023.

Jason Bittner (Overkill drummer) mentioned on FB recently that he'd just heard the final mixes for the new Overkill album, due in '23.

Raven will apparently have a new album out next year too.

Schizophrenia will release an EP next year. It's all cover material, though. I would rather a new release with all originals.

Regardless, their first full length, released earlier this year, is definitely one of this year's best.

I really like this band, very underrated.

Dave Mustaine still has the chops, whereas James seems to struggle to write anything good. James did best when he had guys like Dave and Cliff to collaborate with. I think the new song is a fun nod to the early days, but it doesn’t quite live up to the classic era. It still has that comfortable “cruise control” vibe. Maybe some other songs will surprise us! I can’t judge the whole album on this one song.
